The children are experiencing fossil fragment gathering

The Xingyi National Geopark Museum has launched three experience programs. First, the fossil model is made, the fossil model is made according to the size of 1:1, after choosing the desired mold, the plaster is poured into the mold, and the pigment is used to color it after drying. Each model is unique. Every weekend, the Handmade Experience Museum often welcomes a large number of students, who with curiosity and curiosity through the Triassic, explore the karst, the knowledge of history and geology and culture, through the fingertips into works.

The second is to experience the collection of fossil fragments in the in-situ museum, visitors can observe the geological evolution of hundreds of millions of years ago on the fossil excavation section, not only can see the ammonite, crinoids, shellfish fossils at close range, but also can personally collect fossil fragments, and feel the continuous evolution of the Mesozoic Earth through the traces on the fossils.

The third is rubbing production, the fossil is flat on the desktop, coated with water sol on the fossil surface, forming a protective film on the fossil surface that can reflect the texture of the fossil; The mineral dye with Chinese painting is dipped in the non-grain part of the protective film surface, and then immediately covered with rice paper on its surface and lightly coated with the extension, so that the mineral dye is coated on the protective film, the surface texture of the rubbing becomes clearer, and the fossil appearance is left on the paper. This way does not affect the texture of the fossil surface, but also can protect the fossil, and can be repeated to make fossil rubbings, copy more clearly, and the surface is more vivid.
