Xingyi National Geopark and Xiangxi Global Geopark have become sister parks

On April 6, Xingyi National Geopark and Xiangxi Global Geopark signed a letter of intent for sister-park cooperation, formally establishing a friendly sister-park relationship.
The establishment of sister parks is an inherent requirement for the application of global geoparks, and it is also the need to promote each other and expand the visibility at home and abroad, which is of great significance for jointly promoting the scientific management and sustainable development of protected areas.
The two geoparks have unique and rare geological heritage landscape, rich historical and cultural resources, are the perfect integration of natural landscape and cultural landscape parks, each after years of development, in the tourism development and construction, science popularization and education and park management has made phased achievements.
The two sides made it clear that in the future, they will further strengthen the friendly interaction between the two parks and carry out all-round cooperation in exchange and learning, park protection and management, planning and construction, scientific research and popularization, geological heritage protection, science popularization and education, tourism promotion, information construction and sustainable development. At the same time, liaison agencies will be established to establish cooperation carriers, implement resource sharing, learn from each other, work together for win-win and common progress, and achieve sustainable development.
